JOB POSITION , TITLE: Head chef for Nash 19 , daytime restaurant.

JOB DESCRIPTION : We are looking for both head chef & senior commis / chef de partie to join our team.Head chef responsibilities include full management of kitchen ,adapting recipes, menu preparation, planning, ordering, food cost control,HACCP implementation & co-ordination with EHO.

A head chef has a team chefs & porters under their care, they will work closely with the owner in continuing the successful operation & maintaining high standards, introducing new recipes, techniques & season as required.

The role is exciting, challenging, diverse & ranges from breakfast lunch gallery openings & special private parties ,dinner ect. We service have a lot of corporate clients catering needs both in house & in their offices.

Nash 19 food shop is on site & part of chefs responsibilities also.

A typical day starts cooking at 7am finalising menu for lunch service at 12.15pm. The chef is expected to served both on the hot line and/or cook the grill till 3.30 last orders.

Nash 19 closes Sunday & a second day off is normally Monday. We close at night & December 24th to 28th inclusive & every bank holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED ( IF ANY): The job of head chef requires a minimum of 3 years experience with some formal training & references should be made available on request. Updated  HACCP training & food costing knowledge a given.
