Claire Nash

Claire’s passion for food was ignited at the age of 14 when the best of her summer months were spent under the wing of Myrtle Allen at Ballymaloe House. Claire worked and trained in both Ireland and Atlanta USA. She started in Cathal Brugha Street with a Higher Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a BSC Management Degree from Trinity College Dublin. In the States, she studied Business Management in Georgia State University.

She returned to Cork in 1990 to open her business and is still as dedicated to quality and consistency as when she first opened. She was delighted to accept an honorary masters in business awarded to her by University College Cork in 2010. Claire is currently on the executive board of the Cork Business Association and a board member of the Cork Opera House

 

Mairéad O'Brien

Mairead was born into a food producing and strong dairy family in Mitchelstown, the heart of the golden vale. Mairéad qualified from the Cork Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management.

She was also a winning member of the IHCI National Hotel and Catering Business Game 2002. Mairéad is a member of the Slow Food Ireland initiative. Mairead is 2011 Network Cork Business woman of the year / Employee.

 

 

Pamela Kelly

Pamela began working in kitchens at the age of twelve, under the guidance of both her parents, in their restaurant. Everything from Onion and potato peeling to making desserts, it was the start of a love of cooking!

She went on to study professional cookery in GMIT in 2002, representing the college in Chef Ireland competition winning both gold and silver medals. Her 2nd year work experience took her to Cork, working in Jacques Restaurant, phoenix street. After many culinary adventures, she arrived in Nash 19 in 2007. Bringing an enthusiasm and a shared ethos with her. Working alongside Claire and Mairead, the 'Nash to go' empire was born. And this is just the beginning.

 

Maire Mason

Maire is the assistant manager; she joined the team in early 2002, having completed her Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management. She is responsible for twelve waiting staff and our Christmas Hamper business.
